Small Charity Challenge Fund re-opens for applications alongside a new, one-off Capacity Development grant
Following the Department for International Development’s (DFID) recent announcement, we are pleased to also share the news that the Small Charities Challenge Fund (SCCF) has re-opened for applications.
Project grants: support for small charities working to achieve the Global Goals
Following a successful two-year pilot scheme which ended in March this year, the fund has now re-opened on a continuous basis, providing more UK aid funding opportunities for small UK-registered charities and not-for-profit organisations doing outstanding development work. The first application review deadline for a project grant is Thursday 28 November. The SCCF awards grants of up to £50,000 for projects delivered by small British charities that address the UN Global Goals. A new application guidance document is now available for applicants to download.
New Capacity Development Grants
In addition, SCCF is holding a one-off funding call for applications from organisations who can build the capacity of small British charities working in international development. Up to six grants of up to £100,000 will be available under the Capacity Development Grants. The deadline for applications is also Thursday 28 November.
