Begum is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and she has worked in various sectors of finance including publishing, marketing and education. Most recently, as financial controller of an independent school in Gloucestershire, she played a critical role in securing the future of the school through its sale to a privately owned group of schools.
